Here We Grow Foundation
Florida 501(c)(3) Organization
Here We Grow Foundation is a small community nonprofit organization, created to address, and meet, the various needs of our children, families, homeless veterans and homeless individuals with pets, within our community. We currently serve children and families, in low income areas in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties, by providing quality child development and early childhood education as well as valuable resources for infant/toddlers as well as children with special needs. We also provide shelter and residential housing for homeless veterans and homeless individuals with pets. Within our residential shelter program, Here We Grow Foundation provides clean and safe housing that includes such amenities as cable/streaming TV, the internet, washer-dryer, single or roommate option rooms, leisure area and large privacy fenced in back yard. The residents that are pet owners are provided with free or low cost dog food, Vet care and animal welfare.
Here We Grow Foundation was founded in 2011 by Yvonne Boyce, with the specific purpose of providing educational access, shelter and food security to those in need within her community. She initially established two child development locations for children and families who were primarily in low income areas. Today those centers are both highly credible, use first rate curriculum as well as providing meals through the USDA meal program. Both of the Here We Grow Learning Centers are licensed and provide services to families within the state of Florida's Early learning Coalition. Ms. Boyce then went on to provide much needed assistance with the homeless population and specifically sought to address the needs of our homeless veterans and those who are homeless but will not part with their pets.
Here We Grow Foundation currently partners with the Veterans Administration in Tampa, St. Vincent de Paul, Bailey's Way Rescue, Early Head Start, ELC Pinellas County, ELC Hillsborough County and HEART, an ACTS Housing Program in Tampa, FL.
